Native Utah Plants
Fifty-one native grasses, perennials, shrubs and trees that have proven themselves in the Basin. Tough, water-wise, and at home in high-desert soil.
Native plants are built for our climate. They handle the cold winters, the dry summers and the alkaline, high-desert ground of Northeastern Utah with far less fuss than most imports, and they feed the pollinators and birds that belong here. The list below runs heavy on Penstemon, native daisies and Globemallow, with the shrubs and trees that hold a Basin landscape together. Everything here has performed well in the area.
