Vegetables
Vegetable starts grown for a short high-desert season and ready to go in the ground, headlined by one of the deepest tomato selections in the region.
A short growing season rewards a strong start. We grow one of the best selections of vegetable plants in the region, with over 40 varieties of tomatoes chosen for flavor and fragrance, so you can put proven plants in the ground instead of gambling on seed. Come walk the tables and pick the types that fit your garden.
Availability changes week to week in spring. Call (435) 789-5512 to check what is ready before you make the drive.

Our Tomatoes
Among the tomato plants we carry are local favorites such as Early Girl, Celebrity, Roma and Moscow. Another favorite, DX-5212 (Hamson), was developed at USU for excellent performance in this region.
We have a great selection of heirloom tomatoes, too. Brandywine, Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Green Zebra and Mortgage Lifter are but a few.
Favorite cherry tomatoes are Sweet 100, Sun Sugar (gold), Sweet Baby Girl, Red Grape and Yellow Pear.
In addition to Roma, look for Viva Italia, Big Mama, Amish Paste and San Marzano in the meaty, paste types.
This is just a sampling of our many tomato varieties. For more favorites, come to the garden center and try a few new types.
